The Position 

Position Title: Social Work – Inpatient Services
Classification: Grade 2 – SC21 – SC24
Salary per hour (exc. super): $43.89 – $50.46
Hours per fortnight: 76
Employment Status: Fixed Term Full Time until June 2024
Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination

  

Role Description

The Inpatient Social Work Department are located in the main hospital campus, and work with children, adults and families and communities. This role is situated on the acute wards of the hospital. The Social Worker will be expected to provide information, support and counselling to patients and their families/carers as they adjust to their health condition, cope with changed health needs and determine the most appropriate care to meet their needs. The Grade Two Social Worker is responsible for the provision of Discipline Services within a designated clinical caseload, appropriate to their level of experience and competency. Grade Two level Social Worker are required to display autonomy of practice, whilst also contributing constructively to the interdisciplinary team.

The successful applicant will be subject to the satisfactory completion of Credentialing and Scope of Practice at Bendigo Health.
