We are looking for a new social worker to join our multi-disciplinary team of social workers, psychologists, positive behaviour support practitioners and support coordinators.

We are an NDIS registered provider for all of our services and we provide a caring and empathetic approach to support individuals navigating complex challenges and major life changes.

We are recruiting for a social worker to work in our Woolloongabba office/from home and in the wider Brisbane community in the following areas:

  • Brisbane City
  • Logan City
  • Redland City
  • Ipswich City
  • Moreton Bay Region

We have a diverse case load, with a range of presentations and all ages, from paediatric to later in life.

We pride ourselves on being flexible and when we aren’t with clients in the community, we work flexibly from home and the office.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an accredited social worker with clinical experience, preferably within the NDIS.

We can offer genuine flexibility in a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

We are serious about providing quality support – for both our clients and our team. We are looking for:

  • A highly motivated Social Worker!
  • A driven and committed individual who works well both independently and as part of our multi-disciplinary team
  • Sound understanding of evidence-based approaches and quality delivery of service
  • History of working in disability/NDIS is preferable but not essential
  • Willingness to work with a mixed case load of all ages (children to adults)
  • Ongoing professional development and internal supervision
  • Commitment to best practice and person-centered outcomes for clients
  • Ability to represent Hively in a person-centered, respectful and professional manner at all times
  • Thrive in a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement
  • Willingness to travel for community outreach support in our service area (Greater Brisbane) – driver’s license and own vehicle is essential

Requirements

  • Formal qualification in Social Work
  • Registered with AASW or equivalent
  • NDIS experience/understanding is preferable but not essential
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to connect with clients in a professional and empathetic manner to reach their full potential
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills 
  • Ability or proven ability to meet KPI’s and work independently
  • Proven ability to establish meaningful relationships with service providers, including referrers (support coordinators) and other networks 
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Current driver’s licence and registered vehicle
