This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.
The CCLHD Social Work Department is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Child & Family Health service. This position sits within the Family Assessment Consultation Education Therapy Service (FACET’s) and at various Community Health Centres across CCLHD.
This Social Work position undertakes psychosocial assessment and provides short term therapeutic intervention to primary school aged children and their families to develop healthy and secure relationships within the family system and to enhance whole family functioning. Interventions include assessment, individual and family therapy, parenting support, behaviour management, group work and community partnership.
What you will be doing
The social worker will carry a caseload of families who are needing additional support in addressing concerns about the child’s behaviour, emotions, social relationships and development.
The Social Worker will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues and senior managers within Child & Family Health to ensure the development and delivery of effective and pro-active social work services. This role also includes partnership working where appropriate with external agencies.
The Social Worker is expected to be active in the areas of services development, service evaluation and staff and student teaching.
The Social Worker will work within a passionate team of social work colleagues and wider MDT, who recognise the importance of child focused early intervention, trauma informed intervention and attachment on child development.
The Social Worker will have access to clinical supervision, professional development support and growth in therapeutic interventions
This position is temporary part time until 10th March 2024.
