About the Role
As the successful social worker, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of clinical care, work in partnership with Medical Officers and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide assessment and evidence based treatment in a coordinated and timely manner,
provide Social Work intervention to a wide variety of patients in acute care including surgical, medical, critical care, emergency, maternity, paediatrics and aged care.
You will also be expected to participate in our social work weekend on-call crisis roster.
Selection criteria:
- Degree in Social Work and eligibility to the AASW
- Demonstrated experience working in an acute health care facility
- Highly developed social work assessment and counselling skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice
