What you’ll be doing

To provide high quality evidence based clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for adults referred to the service with a mental illness or disorder. These interventions will be based on an appropriate model of practice as specified by the individual’s professional background, skills, and experience and will be informed by evidence based treatment guidelines. To work effectively with clients, families and services to provide/co-ordinate high quality assessment, treatment and management.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

 

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Selection Criteria 

  1. Approved tertiary qualifications in Social Work and current membership of the AASW.
  2. Demonstrated high level of communication skills, both written and oral.
  3. Computer skills that would support the position and NSW Health requirements.
  4. Mental health assessment, intervention, risk assessments and planning skills that are relevant to the provision of recovery focused mental health case management.
  5. A commitment to a consumer focussed recovery-oriented approach and consumer collaboration in care planning.
  6. Current unrestricted Class C drivers licence.
