What you’ll be doing
 
This is an exciting, once in a career opportunity to join the new statewide workforce pool known as ‘CRU’, the Central Resource Unit (CRU).

We are looking for a Social Worker Level 2 to provide social work services to consumers and their carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with NSW Health policies and procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct. The position will also participate in professional development, clinical supervision, teaching, quality activities and other relevant departmental and administrative duties.

Where you’ll be working
 
The CRU Social Worker workforce will be deployed to locations for anywhere between two and thirteen weeks to support short-term staffing needs. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of health settings when on deployment.

Selection Criteria

  • A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). To be appointed as a Level 2 Health Professional evidence must be provided of three years’ clinical experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a health-related field and ability to provide a range of Social Work interventions
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to quality processes, and the application of evidenced based practice within social work
  • Current drivers’ licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW which will include overnight stays in regional/remote areas. These deployments will make up the majority of your time in the position
