About You
- You have Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- You have a well-developed understanding of the psychosocial issues that arise for patients and their families during chronic and acute illness and trauma.
- You will have demonstrated experience in providing psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention
- You will have worked from a client centred practice framework and your work will align with the AASW Practice Standards.
- You will have demonstrated experience in providing leadership and supervision to staff and Social Work students.
Where you’ll be working
You will be working predominantly in Gosford Hospital Emergency Department.
The permanent part-time position available is either:
Thursday and Friday every week & every second Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Hours : 8.00am to 4.30pm
Monday and Tuesday every week & every second Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Hours : 8.00am to 4.30pm
However, during orientation period your working hours will be within Monday to Friday.

You will be required to participate in the Social Work after hours on call roster, 1-2 shifts per month.
