South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) covers both Rural and Suburban communities and manages six acute public hospitals

SWSLHD also operates 14 major Community Health centres providing prevention, early intervention and community-based treatment, palliative care and rehabilitation services.

SWSLHD provides Oral HealthDrug HealthMental Health Services and Population Health Services are provided at a number of facilities across the district.

How to Apply

  1. A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  2. Demonstrated experience in a health related field and ability to provide a range of Social Work interventions
  3. Demonstrated experience prioritising work and managing stressful situations
  4. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  5. Demonstrated high level communication skills (written and verbal) and computer skills.
  6. Evidence of commitment to clinical supervision and professional learning.
  7. Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to quality processes, and the application of evidenced based practice within social work.
