Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) is a responsive regional health service transforming under public management. Our focus is on providing a patient centred approach to care when members of our community are at their most vulnerable, and we do this through a workforce of close to 1000 employees who provide care 24/7 to a catchment area of 80,000 community members.
Our team prides itself on providing a high standard of care with a professional and positive attitude and we currently have a position available for an experienced Grade 1,2 or 3 Social Worker to join the team on a permanent ongoing, part time 0.9FTE basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high quality, direct social work service to all inpatients and outpatients of the Hospital as required, including counselling, access to support services, discharge planning and community follow-up.
To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in social work and be eligible for AASW National Accreditation, show reasoning and sound judgment in decision making and deliver exceptional support to patients and carers alike with regard to adjusting and adapting to the current medico-psycho-social situation they are experiencing.
