The Position
Under the supervision of the Allied Health Services Manager, the successful applicant will provide a high standard of Social Work services to acute medical and surgical inpatients.
- It also includes counselling, access to support services, discharge planning and community follow-up.
- Also, management of complex psychosocial clinical cases, practical and emotional support, substitute decision making, advanced care planning, QCAT cases, support for Voluntary Assisted Dying, crisis intervention, and grief, loss and end of life support.
Where required, this position will provide support to the senior management team.
About You
You will have exceptional customer service, strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills and also meet the following criteria:
- Degree in Social Work
- Demonstrated experience providing Social Work services in a hospital environment
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated effective interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proven ability to work across multiple clinical areas.
Remuneration: Salary commensurate with experience
