Classification: SO11
Salary per hour (exc. super): $25.95
Hours per fortnight: Up to 72

Role Description
The Pre-Qualified Social Worker Employment (PQSW) program is offered to a student enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of a Bachelor of Social Work (SW). The program seeks to build the capacity of Victoria?s Specialist Mental Health Services to attract a soon-to-be-qualified SW workforce to choose a career in mental health. The role also provides an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the lives of consumers with a mental illness, and their families and carers. The participant will work within the Bendigo Community Mental Health Team for up to 30 shifts over the six-month period of employment.

The Team
The team is part of Bendigo Health?s Mental Health Department. The BACMHT is an integrated and multidisciplinary team, delivering 5 day a week community care to persons 24 – 64, providing a case management response to individual patients. Treatment is recovery focused and provided during all stages of illness.
