Exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker experienced in community mental health to join a Regional Public Health Service in Western Australia. Community Mental Health experience is essential for this role.
Duties:
- Conducts comprehensive mental health assessment (including home, hospital and community-based) and develops appropriate treatment and management plans.
- Conducts evidence-based intervention and treatment
- Develops management plans in consultation with the client and, as appropriate, their carers/family, GP’s and other service providers.
- Provides clinical case management services to clients.
- Participates in health promotion and early intervention programmes.
- Works effectively in collaboration with other team members, other professionals and GPs to promote quality mental health care for clients and the community.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in social work or psychology.
- Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
- Community mental health experience is essential.
- AASW Membership.
- Knowledge of emotional, behavioural, psychological and psychiatric disorders of adults.
- Demonstrated experience in assessment and providing evidence-based interventions for adults with mental.
health or related disorders, and their families/carers. - Full drivers license.
