Exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker experienced in community mental health to join a Regional Public Health Service in Western Australia. Community Mental Health experience is essential for this role. 

Duties:

• Conducts comprehensive mental health assessment (including home, hospital and community-based) and develops appropriate treatment and management plans.
• Conducts evidence-based intervention and treatment
• Develops management plans in consultation with the client and, as appropriate, their carers/family, GP’s and other service providers.
• Provides clinical case management services to clients.
• Participates in health promotion and early intervention programmes.
• Works effectively in collaboration with other team members, other professionals and GPs to promote quality mental health care for clients and the community.

Essential Criteria

• Tertiary qualification in social work or psychology.
• Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
• Community mental health experience is essential.
• AASW Membership.
• Knowledge of emotional, behavioural, psychological and psychiatric disorders of adults.
• Demonstrated experience in assessment and providing evidence-based interventions for adults with mental.
  health or related disorders, and their families/carers.
• Full drivers license.
