JOB DESCRIPTION

SOCIAL WORKER – GRADE 1 .8 FIXED TERM UNTIL 30 JUNE 2024.

The Eye and Ear hospital is a specialist hospital seeking a Grade 1 Social Worker – part time .8 Fixed Term until 30 June 2024.

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, exhibits ethical and professional responsibility and undertake timely evidenced based clinical assessment and interventions using a person centred approach.

 

The role will work across outpatient, emergency and inpatient settings, participating in relevant clinical meetings and engaging with other allied health, nursing and medical professionals in discharge planning and addressing complex needs experienced by patients including patients living with a disability and patients experiencing family violence.

 

Experienced social workers in the community sector or newly graduated social workers seeking a career in the public health sector are encouraged to apply.
