About the job
The Allied Health Rural Reliever Program was established as a strategy to maintain the provision of Allied Health Services during periods of staff absence in rural and regional sites across HNE Health.
The Allied Health Relievers Program is designed to provide cover for clinicians whilst on annual leave or to attend professional development activities. Priorities are to cover AL or PD leave requests. The role will receive clinical supervision on a monthly basis, as well as weekly mentoring/support from the host sites.
Internal and External professional development opportunities will be provided to the reliever in line with their professional development goals established in their annual plan. The reliever will also have a period of orientation to familiarise themselves with teams, sites and processes before commencing leave relief.
This is a Social Worker Level 3 position. However, if there are no appropriate Level 3 applicants, applications from Level 1 and 2 will be considered. The selection criteria reflects the requirements for a Level 3 applicant. Responses from Level 1 or 2 applicants need to demonstrate their level of competence with regard to the same criteria and their ability to work towards Level 3. The expected performance of the incumbent will be commensurate with his/her years of experience and current level at commencement of appointment. The incumbent will work towards meeting the criteria for Level 3.

Requirements
Our successful candidate will possess the following:
- Must hold as a minimum a bachelor degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer
- Willing to work fulltime

- The position is full time position; based in New England/negotiable, 1 week at base site and 4 weeks on the road.
