This opportunity is a 12-week Locum contract with a possible extension, working fulltime Monday to Friday.
On behalf of our client in Adelaide, we are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Adult Safeguarding Unit, office for Ageing Well. Undertaking comprehensive assessments and providing service and case coordination to ensure the rights and freedoms of vulnerable adults are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and provision of case management coordination
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to identify issues in relation to vulnerable adults
- Contribute to the multi-disciplinary team and quality of services provided by the Adult Safeguarding Unit by continually developing and applying:
– Clinical skills within the scope of practice appropriate to the person’s profession
– Knowledge of social work, other professions and other services
– Skills in communication, collaboration, and partnership building
- Ensure that assessments, case coordination and referral processes are inclusive of all people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Establish and maintain effective and open networks, relationships and communication channels
- Appropriately document assessments, investigations, information sharing and safeguarding plans
- Provide written and verbal reports complying with the Unit’s procedures
- Plan and coordinate services, including involving other disciplines or agencies as required to meet individual safeguarding needs
- Participate in quality and service improvement activities
- Provide education to staff, students, and outside stakeholders
About You
- A degree level qualification in Social Care, allowing eligibility for full registration or membership with the AASW
- A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
- High level interpersonal skills including, communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake a range of interventions
- Demonstrated skills in case management and the ability to make complex clinical decisions
- Ability to interact with client databases efficiently and adapt to changes in technology
- Demonstrated experience in effective case management coordination associated with vulnerable adults.
- Demonstrated experience in a range of computer software and data bases
- Proven experience producing high quality verbal and written reports
- Demonstrated experience in working with older people and/or people living with a disability
- Experience in the provision of services with adults who are from Culturally and Linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Experience working with adults and children who are experiencing abuse
Salary
- Fantastic Casual Rates from $55-60 P/h + Super (Based on experience)
