The Opportunity
Appropriately qualified, experienced, and passionate Social Workers committed to making a difference within a Catholic secondary school setting are invited to apply for this outstanding limited tenure full time opportunity with St Patrick’s College. As a valued member of our Student Wellbeing Support Services (SWSS) team you will provide quality professional support services to students and their families. In this role, you will promote and support the learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs of students using evidence-based interventions, case management, liaison with external agencies, and consultation. It includes working with leadership in addressing identified needs of sub schools, their cohort groups and contributing to the professional development of staff in areas of expertise.
The position will either be classified as Wellbeing Level 3 or Wellbeing Level 4, depending on experience.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.
About You
As an experienced Social Worker, you will:
- Have experience providing support to children and young people and their families to address social, emotional, learning and/or behavioural development needs
- Be an exceptional communicator, with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships, with the ability to work effectively within a variety of school teams.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to perform effectively in environments with competing demands.

St Patrick’s is a Catholic co-educational Year 7-12 college of approximately 1,500 students with a strong academic culture that encourages individual students to develop to their full potential through a broad educational experience.
