Overview
Working as a part of the multidisciplinary team at Strathalbyn Residential Aged Care, you will provide high quality social work services which aim to enhance the mental health and functional independence of residents. This may include working one-to-one with residents, in group settings, or with families. Applying your clinical experience, knowledge and professional competence, you will plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive and integrated range of social work services. Working under reduced clinical direction, you may contribute to the clinical supervision of less experienced allied health professionals, allied health assistants and students. You will provide regular reports and advice to the Restorative Aged Care Lead or site-based lead regarding waiting lists, service issues, service planning and other relevant issues as required. You must hold a recognised qualification within the Social Work profession and be eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). With experience in providing social work services, including one-on-one, group and health promotion activities, you will bring the ability to utilise a range of intervention techniques. You will be committed to applying client-centred practice and community engagement principles in the provision of services, ensuring residents are meaningfully involved in all aspects of their care.
