Brophy Family and Youth Services is a quality Child Safe accredited, not-for-profit organisation. We provide a wide range of family, youth and children services across Southwest Victoria, incorporating Integrated Family Services and other programs.
The safety of victim-survivors is the Orange Door’s first priority. The Orange Door will also help to maintain a focus on perpetrators, so the risk they pose can be assessed and they are held to account for their behaviour.
We work closely with the Orange Door to build the capacity of vulnerable families and individuals to enable them to self-manage and be the best they can be through referrals to many of our program areas.

Our team is growing and we are now on the lookout for a full-time Social Worker – Team Leader to lead our Social Workers at the Orange Door program, based in Warrnambool, VIC. As Team Leader you will coordinate, supervise, oversee and support the day-to-day operations of our integrated team of skilled Social Workers within the South West Orange Door.

What you’ll bring to the team
To thrive in this role, you will have demonstrated clinical experience and a relevant qualification in social work, psychology or a related discipline. You will also possess a Bachelor of Social Work or a Diploma in Community Welfare Work, or have the willingness to upgrade your qualifications to a Bachelor of Social Work over the next five years.
The role will see you directing both team members who work for Brophy Family and Youth Services, as well as team members who work for partner agencies. This adds an extra dimension to the position and will require someone who is highly efficient, able to “think outside the box” when required, and who possesses strong relationship-building skills.
Please note: Suitable candidates must hold an Employee Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, complete a National Police Check and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, prior to commencing employment.
