JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Flexible sub-contractor opportunities in Private Practice for mental health accredited and non-accredited Social Workers.
  • Moonee Ponds, Essendon and South Melbourne locations (+ more clinic choices across Melbourne for mental health accredited Social Workers).
  • Work with private clients and couples across the lifespan, third party referrals (TAC, WorkCover, NDIS) and within our Employee Assistance Program based on your experience.
  • Excellent contract rates from $45 to $110 per counselling session working through your own ABN and insurance.
  • Immediate starts or step into private practice in 2023.

Our Opportunities

Due to strategic growth and increased demand we are seeking accredited and non-accredited Social Workers to join our team of contractors working across various locations in Victoria. Non accredited Social Workers will be based at our flagship clinics, either South Melbourne, Essendon or Moonee Ponds. Accredited Social Workers able to practice through Medicare will have greater choice in locations through Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Our current opportunities are contractor positions where you will work through your own ABN. These positions will be working face-to-face with our clients with some telehealth an option.

You will be kept busy with a variety of referrals predominately private, mental health treatment plans and third-party (Workcover/ TAC, NDIS). In addition to private practice, we can also offer our contractors additional opportunities such as critical incident/ onsite debriefing, and training and group facilitations for our clients via Employee Assistance Programs. We may also have counselling opportunities with our partner organisations.

About You

Ideally our Social Workers will:

  • Be accredited Mental Health Social Workers (AMHSW) and recognised providers with Medicare however we are happy to consider non-accredited Social Workers with minimum 5 years counselling experience.
  • Have demonstrated post-qualifying counselling experience and be comfortable delivering clinical / therapeutic social work services to support diverse clients.
  • Be familiar with evidence based therapies such as EMDR, CBT and DBT along with short term solution focused therapy.
  • Be warm, empathetic, professional and client centered.
  • Have an active ABN and insurance to practice.
  • Have a police check and / or WWCC or be willing to apply for these.
