CRAMLI Psychological and Behavioural Services focuses on providing strategies to assist with reducing symptoms of mental health, increasing emotional intelligence, and emotional regulation and building an understanding of their triggers and early warning signs. We are able to provide strategies and recommendations to address environmental, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical challenges.
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for experienced allied health professionals to work within the PBS team and along with our multi-disciplinary team, delivering PBS across victoria.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social work or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience as a behavioural practitioner
- Willing to register with AHPRA, PACFA, AASW or ACA if applicable
- Time management and efficiency in writing reports, assessments etc
- Experience in identifying restrictive practices and writing behaviour support plans
- A strong sense of personal accountability and resilience
- Must be hardworking, able to work under pressure, adaptable and motivated

The role requires the successful applicant to operate as a Behaviour support practitioner to clients and participants of all ages, abilities as well as support structures to develop person-centred support plans that help address challenging behaviours that get in the way of an individual’s flourishing.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with and providing clinical intervention to children, youth and adults with challenging behaviours
- Demonstrated experience and relevant knowledge of complex client groups, including people with an intellectual disability, mental health, offending behaviour (including sexualised behaviours), dual disability, substance use and other behaviours of concern that place them at risk in the community and with others
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including comprehensive assessments and reports
- Understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and how it underpins service delivery
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to use initiative along with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member with a range of stakeholders in a collaborative approach.
- Experience working with disabilities and /or behaviour change is preferred but not essential.
- A high level of resilience to work in an environment that is exposed to several high-risk clients that could include clients demonstrating the following presentations of suicide, domestic/family violence, anxiety, depression, aggressive behaviour, sexual abuse, murder, complex mental health (paranoia, schizophrenia, borderline etc) etc
- An enthusiastic and positive nature that can work collaboratively in a team environment
- have experience with individuals, couples and families in both short term and long-term interventions
