The Salvation Army Australia’s Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer refuge, children’s and parenting services, counselling, support, men’s programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.
Why this role matters
We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner based within the Bayside Peninsula Family Violence Services.
This position will be in instrumental in delivering high quality, safe and effective family violence and child well-being responses to those seeking support, safety, and recovery. This will be achieved through the provision of outreach case management support to women and women with children who have experienced and/ or are currently experiencing family violence.
You Will Successfully
- Case management support is provided to clients in accordance with TSA Case Management models and standards of practice
- Clients are assisted to access holistic support services and establish community connections, and where needed are assisted through advocacy with service providers
- Accurate, up to date client records and data is maintained for all clients in accordance with TSA standards and procedures using TSA information systems
This is a full time, ongoing position based at Windsor.
You Will Have
- A Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent formal learning*
- Experience working in the family violence sector is highly desirable
- Experience working in the child wellbeing sector is desirable
- Highly developed time management and work prioritisation skills
- Advanced computer skills including experience in data and record management
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence
- Valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
- Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
