ABOUT THE ROLE – .
- Provide direct service delivery to women and children residing in the refuge who are experiencing or escaping from family violence.
- Provide a safe residential service for women and women with children.
- Ensuring that service users and their children have access to community resources.
- Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and develop, monitor and review safety plans.
- Contribute to an integrated approach to service delivery for clients accessing the service.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE –
- An understanding of the social and political issues impacting on women and children escaping family violence.
- The ability to identify and assess family violence risk, safety plan and prioritise safety of women and children.
- Previous experience in crisis intervention and assessment with strong conflict resolution skills.
- Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence |Working With Children Check |Police Check
- *Minimum of Bachelor in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Family Therapy or substantial experience in a related field. *Family Safe Victoria‘s Minimum Mandatory Qualifications Requirements were introduced on 1st July, 2021 and further details are available at https://safeandequal.org.au/working-in-family-violence/minimum-qualifications/.
