If you would like to work for a highly recognised feminist organisation in the human services industry with a supportive team of professional women, we are seeking your application for the position of Specialist Homelessness Service Caseworker.  

North Queensland Combined Women’s Services Inc. also known as The Women’s Centre, comprises a Specialist Homelessness Service, a Sexual Assault Support Service and a Women’s Health Service that provides counselling, group therapy, support and information, for women experiencing the ongoing effects of violence and trauma. 

The Specialist Homelessness Service provides a range of interventions for women in the area of homelessness and domestic and family violence including case management, crisis to medium support, advocacy and referrals.

If you have:

  • Degree in Social Work/Social Sciences and/or equivalent skills and experience working in the homelessness field or related areas 
  • Experience providing case management, referral and information in the homelessness field or related area.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a busy team environment and shared space
  • Current Working with Children Check – Blue Card
  • Current Drivers Licence
