About the business

Tablelands Sexual Assault Service (TSAS) is a small specialist sexual assault counselling and community education service on the Atherton Tablelands in FNQ. The workspace is beautiful and the culture is respectful, inclusive, warm and flexible. TSAS provides service delivery across the local rural/ remote region.

About the role

As a Specialist Sexual Assault Practitioner you will be providing counselling, advocacy and support to children, young people and adults whose lives are affected by sexual abuse and/or sexual violence. This role includes some community education where you will be supported to co-facilitate awareness raising and prevention initiatives within the local community. We are looking for a passionate and courageous team player who isn’t afraid to laugh and is interested in helping people to be safe and reclaim their lives.

Skills and experience

You MUST have a tertiary qualification in Social Work/ Psychology/ Counselling/ Behavioural Sciences, and at least 2 years counselling experience, a valid blue card and drivers license, an open mind, willingness to learn, and a passion for human rights, justice and equality.
