Who is Ability WA and what makes us stand out?

We began in 1951 as a small group of parents who formed an organisation looking for an innovative way to access care and support for their children with Cerebral Palsy. In 2022 we are recognised as one of WA’s leading disability service providers. Our sector has changed a lot over the years, and we have too. What remains the same is our dedication to our customers and our staff. We strive to make a difference in the lives of those living with disabilities by connecting with heartachieving togetherthinking differently and making things happen.

Who our stars are!

As a Speech Pathologist you will be responsible for supporting our customers in achieving a lifestyle of their choice by providing a contemporary therapy service that maximises their independence and participation. You will manage a clinical portfolio, providing a quality therapy service to customers of varying diagnoses and complexity and thoroughly understand and deliver contemporary disability-specific therapy supports, including assessment, direct intervention, report-writing, co-ordination and case management.

Hear it from our amazing team!

“Often, you can’t solve problems by yourself. Pragmatic considerations need to be taken into account. We have an excellent culture and a very supportive and kind environment filled with knowledge from different backgrounds” – Jessica Pallotta (Speech Pathologist)

“In a hospital setting, our involvement with patients was quite short, so I didn’t have the opportunity to work hard on their long-term outcomes. Working in the disability sector, I have customers that I have supported since my first day, and it’s so rewarding to see their progression.” – Amy Parsons (Speech Pathologist)
