About the role
Mater Young Adult Health Centre are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Statewide Triage and Referral Coordinator to work in our Clarence Street service. This role is being offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis.
Mater Clarence Street is part of the Mater Young Adult Health Centre. Clarence Street offers a range of services to support young people and their families who experience problematic substance use. A residential withdrawal program, a longer term therapeutic residential program Thread where young people can participate in a program for up to 12 weeks. Clarence Street also has specialist youth work service that can outreach to individual young people and a Day Program where young people can drop in and access support in a creative and safe environment. Clarence Street also provides parent support, to individuals, couples and via groups.
Salary range: $55.48 – $59.67 (Health Practitioner Level 4) per hour plus superannuation + salary packaging access up to $15,900
What you’ll be doing
The purpose of the State-wide Triage and Referral Coordinator position is to effectively engage with young people 13-25 years and their families who are seeking alcohol and other drug treatment and support. This role coordinates referrals to all Clarence Street programs as well as liaising with related sectors to provide an integrated service response. This position will provide face to face and telephone assessments for persons throughout Queensland with concerns about their own or others substance use using a harm minimisation framework.
About you
The successful applicant must have:
- Degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing. Must have current registration with the relevant governing body.
- Ability to operate an organisation vehicle
- Queensland C Class driver’s licence
- Completion of First Aid Training (Emergency Care Course, St John’s Ambulance is the minimum requirement)
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster providing after hours support for the residential services
