About the Role
As a Step Up Program Facilitator with Colony 47 you will support young people to make specific behavioural changes related to stopping violence and abuse in the home and to build respectful and meaningful relationships.

**We have 2 x Program Facilitator roles available, Part-Time or Full Time, fixed term positions to 30 June 2024. You will deliver services in the North and surrounding regional areas via outreach, work from home and our Launceston office.

In the role you will:

  • Deliver the Step Up program curriculum in both group and one on one environments
  • Provide effective professional case management services to clients and perform administrative tasks including the timely maintenance of documentation, case files, filing, data collection and collation
  • Work with communities to build on their existing capacity to develop responses to identified needs
  • Assist with the representation of the service in networking, policy and planning forums

To be successful in the role, you will possess:

  • Skills in delivering specialist counselling, conflict resolution and mediation services to young people and/or their families using a Strengths Based Approach and Trauma Informed Practice
  • Experience in working with other services and communities to develop their capacity to respond to the needs identified by the community
  • Highly developed verbal communication skills including the ability to build relationships with a broad range of people, promote the service to stakeholders and assist in delivering training and community education
  • Highly developed written and analytical skills including case management files, client assessment and correspondence
