Student Counselling Practitioner
Full Time Ongoing
(Commencing in 2024 with preferred start date of 22 January 2024)
Damascus College has an opportunity for an appropriately qualified and experienced Counselling Practitioner to join our Student Wellbeing Team.
The Practitioner will provide dedicated counselling services in an educational environment, with a strong commitment to nurturing the social, emotional and academic growth of students.
Working collaboratively with the Student Wellbeing team the Practitioner will improve student wellbeing in an environment of pastoral care by working closely the Student Counselling Services team, Leadership Team, staff and external agencies to provide specialist guidance, assessment and counselling services with a Child-centered centered approach.
It is essential that the preferred applicants have:
- Qualifications in Social Work, Social Welfare or equivalent and/or
- Qualifications in Psychology or equivalent
- Valid Working with Children Check (for Paid Employment)
- Valid National Police Check a current Level 2 First Aid certificate.
