Tec-NQ are searching for a team member to help support the education, health and wellbeing needs of First Nations boarding students from remote and very remote areas.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Student Support Coordinator – Boarding with relevant experience to join a team of dedicated educators and support staff, in a fixed-term, part-time capacity. The Student Support Coordinator- (Boarding) will manage and support the education, health and wellbeing needs of First Nations boarding students from remote and very remote areas to engage in school. They will engage in part-time student support, mental health and wellbeing support and provide tutoring to students.

The ideal applicant will have:
- A working knowledge of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and respective First Nations Organisations.
- Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience in working with children and/or tutoring.
- Youth Mental Health First Aid Certificate.
- Current Queensland Drivers Licence.
- Possession of a Queensland Positive Notice ‘Blue Card’ or the ability to obtain.
