The Student Wellbeing and Support Services Professionals operate as part of the interdisciplinary Student Wellbeing and Support Services Team under the strategic leadership of the Deputy Principal – Student Wellbeing in partnership with the Heads of School (Junior School, Middle School and Senior School). This team assists students facing barriers to learning, to achieve their God-given potential by providing a range of supports at the individual, group and school levels.
As an integral part of the school’s Christian wellbeing and support program you will work with students, families and school staff to enhance safety, recovery, relationships and resilience for our student’s social, emotional and educational wellbeing and support. In this role you will:
> Provide counselling to students, including students with high level mental health concerns.
> Deliver high level advice and proactivity in the area of supporting learning and teaching to improve student learning outcomes.
> Provide guidance, advice and support to the Deputy Principal – Student Wellbeing to manage and deliver wellbeing strategies.
> Provide guidance, advice and support to Executive staff in the management of complex issues.
> Build the capability of teachers to work with students with a range of needs and behaviours.
> Balance the delivery of assessments and interventions, and be part of managing complex cases.
