JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting:

Student Wellbeing Officer – Part Time

About us

ET Australia is a community based not for profit organisation operating on the NSW Central Coast, on Darkinjung Country since 1977. The organisation’s objective is to provide students with the skills to be successful in employment and/or further study through the provision of adult vocational training at ET Australia Training College and high school education at ET Australia Secondary College (ETASC).

ET Australia embraces a distinctive approach to education, recognising that individuals have diverse learning styles. We engage with each student as a unique learner to assist each person to realise their potential.

Our facilities in Gosford City Centre host a team of over 75 professionals and 385 students, 239 students in ETASC and 146 in the Training College. ET Australia prioritises diversity and a respectful, supportive atmosphere.

Our strong commitment to inclusivity is evident in our staff retention rate of 97.6% for at least 12 months, promoting strong internal connections and a positive work environment. Currently, 4% of our staff and 12% of our students proudly identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We warmly encourage applications from individuals of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent as we continue to embrace and celebrate diversity.

This Role is within ET Australia Secondary College (ETASC):

ETASC is a small and innovative High School located in the Gosford CBD, on Darkinjung Country, catering to students in Years 7 to 12. Our school model attracts students from across the Central Coast, south from Sydney’s upper North Shore and in the north from Morisset and the Lake Macquarie area.

ETASC takes a unique approach to education, focusing on helping individuals unlock their full potential through empowerment, not just teaching. Our commitment to education drives us. ETASC operates two separate campuses, both conveniently located in the heart of Gosford city centre. Our Years 7 to 10 campus currently serves around 200 students, while our Years 11 and 12 campus caters to around 50 students. Among our student body, 15% identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. ETASC remains dedicated to its small-school philosophy, with a maximum of 280 students in Years 7 to 12 by 2024.

If you are passionate about education, innovation, and making a genuine impact on the lives of young learners, we invite you to become a part of our dedicated team at ETASC. Join us on this remarkable journey to inspire, educate, and shape the minds of the next generation.
