$35.21 per hour 

We are currently seeking a passionate Student Wellbeing Officer to join our PCYC Beenleigh Youth Club based out of Daisy Hill State School. If you are enthusiastic and have a passion for providing social and emotional support to students, parents and staff, then we want you!

Your New Role

Reporting to the Youth Club Manager, you will assist students to develop knowledge, understanding and skills that support learning, positive behaviour and constructive social relationships through social skill programs. You will also seek to create a positive environment that not only encompasses the student, but also their families and the staff you are supporting, to ensure engagement by those at risk. About You

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Pastoral Care, Youth Work or equivalent qualification. The qualification must include 3 units of competency in mental health and making appropriate referrals along with a unit in either pastoral care or working with youth (or equivalent).
  • Previous pastoral care or welfare experience (nice to have)
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Hold a current driver’s licence and a Restricted Drivers’ Authority (or ability to obtain)

Please note: Working With Children Check (Blue Card) No Card, No Start and Restricted Person legislation applies. All PCYC employees are required to complete a National Police Check upon commencement.
