The College is seeking to employ a suitably qualified, highly motivated Wellbeing Officer who is interested in investing in the lives of our students and the College. The position will commence in Term 3, 2023. This role involves taking a proactive approach in ensuring the Islamic, emotional, psychological and social wellbeing of our students.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Diploma in Community Services or a related field
  • (Preferred) Hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Counselling, Education 
  • Have experience working in educational settings with a focus on student wellbeing
  • Have experience with Islamic values and principles and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by students 
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.
  • Demonstrate collaborative practices and a commitment to working as part of a team
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
  • Be willing to contribute to the extra-curricular programs at the College
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young people.
