The Position:
You will join our AOD program in a part time, 3 day per week counselling role.
We are currently seeking someone with experience within the AOD sector, who has a passion for working with adults and families with substance use concerns.
The successful candidate will hold a counselling portfolio within our AOD SURe program for 3 days out of our Box Hill office and will be required to be available to deliver After Hours telehealth sessions between 5pm and 8pm on Tuesday evenings.
The skills you will use day to day:
- Theory that underpins drug and alcohol treatment
- Understanding of the stages of change
- In depth knowledge of addiction
- Counselling skills which include the ability to use CBT
- Experience and strong ability to work with mandated clients
- A strong ability to be receptive and flexible to new ideas and the capacity to adapt to changing work demands and circumstances
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Social Science, Counselling and specifically a minimum of a Cert IV in AOD or Post Graduate Certificate in AOD, including Dual Diagnosis competencies or a minimum 2 years in the AOD sector.
What you should know:
- The hourly rate starts at $49.07 per hour (Level 6 SCHADS)
- Flexibility to pay higher rates based on the award
