Part time, hours negotiable between 3 and 7 hours week

What does a Support Coordinator, Family Connections, do?

The Support Coordinator – Family Connections works with families with young children to deliver responsive and flexible prevention, early help and support services that meet the needs of children, families and communities experiencing or at risk of vulnerability.

Your purpose is to improve children’s life chances by building the capacity of both their families and communities.

A day in the life of Support Coordinator 

Deliver person centered, responsive and flexible prevention, early help and support services that meet the needs of children, families and communities experiencing or at risk of vulnerability.  

Actively participate as a member the Campbell Page Team and work collaboratively with Community with the aim of achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients, funding partners and stakeholders

Working closely with sector partners and families the role will focus on:

  • Targeted Support by delivering evidence-based Parenting Programs and supported playgroups
  • Community Support by providing advice/guidance, information, and referrals to families
  • Community Engagement and Coordination by organising and supporting community events as well as facilitating interagency collaboration

What are we looking for in a Support Coordinator?

  • Experience and training in the delivery of wellbeing programs and knowledge of issues faced by children, young people, and their families in the region
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience working with Culturally Diverse Communities as well as networks/links with the Aboriginal Communities
  • Solid understanding of legislative standards e.g. Equal Employment Opportunity, Privacy, Child Protection and WHS etc
  • Experience working with children and families individually and in a group with the ability to network in the community and sector to align support
  • High level ability to communicate with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders
  • Commitment to working in the Human Services Sector within a results-driven team
  • Adaptable with strong communication and computer skills
  • Willingness to gain a Criminal History Check.
  • Current drivers’ licence and Working with Children clearance.

Highly desirable but not essential:

  • Certificate or Degree qualification in Community Services or similar Human Services discipline
  • Experience in the Human Services Sector and developing community networks
  • Experience in case management within a trauma informed and strengths-based framework
