Key Responsibilities
As a Child & Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in our 24/7 rotating roster, including day, afternoon, and night shifts. Your responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for children and young people.
- Assisting with daily tasks and supporting individual needs.
- Facilitating age-appropriate activities and fostering independent living skills.
- Providing ongoing care and guidance, prioritizing well-being and safety.
- Responding empathetically to trauma-based behaviours with understanding and professionalism.
About You
We are looking for individuals who bring:
- A passion for supporting children and young people to reach their potential.
- Minimum Cert IV in a relevant area of study.
- A Suitable Psychometric Assessment Outcome (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills to connect and help maintain cultural ties for children.
- Knowledge of the impacts of abuse and neglect, coupled with the ability to provide trauma-informed support.
- Resilience in handling challenging situations and a commitment to self-care practices.
- A dedication to delivering consistent, high-quality care.
