Support Worker New Horizons

JOB DESCRIPTION

Join the New Horizons team in providing complex care and support to provide complex care to a resident within the icare program. We’re looking for experienced and empathetic Support Workers in the Orange 2800 area.

About You

  • Qualified in Disability, Community Services or Mental Health, or equivalent relevant experience – experience in personal care, manual handling or AIN would be highly regarded
  • You have a valid NSW Drivers C class licence and use of own car
  • You have a mobile phone you are comfortable using for work
  • An understanding of NDIS services and programs is helpful (though not essential)
  • You are punctual with a friendly nature and want to help make a positive impact on the lives of residents within the community

 

The Day to Day

As a Support Worker, you will be meeting the daily care needs of a resident within a residents home and will be invested in providing a person-centered approach, high-quality care, and ensuring that resident are supported in achieving their goals. Tasks may include but are not limited to: Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Personal care, manual handling and medication administration
  • Meal preparation
  • Accompanying to appointments and adhering to specialist plans
