AHA has secured the contract to assist the Victorian Government Department of Education (DE) to rollout the Disability Inclusion Profile to all Victorian government schools.
The role
We are looking for Facilitators to support the rollout in the Goulburn DE area. Living within the Goulburn DE area, you have a background in Inclusive Education and a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with children with additional needs, their families, and their school.
You will be part of a team of experienced student focused professionals (Disability Inclusion Facilitators) who will visit schools to facilitate Disability Inclusion Profile meetings.
We are passionate about ensuring the quality of our work and the wellbeing of our team. In addition to facilitating the profile meetings, you will be supported to participate in extensive training and development activities, including:
- Regular shadowing provided by your Team Leader and other Facilitators.
- Extensive initial training as well as ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Regular ‘quality improvement days’, scheduled during low or no profile periods across the year.
- Continuing professional support and guidance from your Team Leader.
Comprehensive training and support in the conduct of Disability Inclusion Profiles will be provided – no prior knowledge of the Profile is required.
Your home will be your base and you will visit schools to facilitate Disability Inclusion Profile meetings.
In addition to providing leave for the school holiday period, we are keen to discuss opportunities for a work structure that suits you and your family, including the option to work full time or 4 days a week (0.8 FTE).

- Excellent remuneration: salary $104,000 per annum + 11% superannuation (1.0 FTE).

Required:
- Qualifications as a Teacher
- Current VIT registration
- 5+ years of experience working in/with schools
- Extensive knowledge of child development and disabilities that students may experience
- Strong understanding of the principles of inclusion in education
- Understanding of a strengths-based approach
- Experience in group facilitation
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail combined with an ability to work under pressure
- Ability to write concise and accurate reports
- Excellent time management skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- Valid driver’s licence and own car – required for travel to schools
