We have an exciting opportunity to join Ruah’s leadership team as a Team Lead within the area of Mental Health and Wellness. The Position will be permanent, working on a full-time basis, 38 hours per week. The position will be based at Ruah’s Fremantle office with the requirement to travel across the Perth Metropolitan area.

The Team Lead position is a key service delivery role responsible for achieving outcomes to clients through our Model of Care. As a Team Lead you will play an important role in supporting a Service Lead through the effective management of a program within the service area. You will also advocate on behalf of clients served by your team within senior and executive management decision making forums. In this regard, you will play a significant role in shaping the strategic focus of the organisation.

Your role requires coaching and mentoring of your team to ensure agreed outcomes and performance indicators are achieved within the resources available.

To be successful in this role you will be expected to apply your personal drive, professional experience, and exemplary conduct to building and sustaining a high performing team that effectively responds to and addresses client issues.

Essential:

It is expected that the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in leading a successful team within the program area of Mental Health and Wellness.
  • Significant understanding of, and commitment to the Purpose, Vision and Values of Ruah.
  • Experience in direct service delivery to address client needs in the program area of Mental Health and Wellness.
  • Experience in managing for the achievement of client outcomes in the area of Mental Health and Wellness.
  • Strong ability to respond in a timely manner to address competing client needs.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including strong skills in negotiation and consultation.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident public speaking and presentation style.

Specialist criteria

  • As a specialist in Mental Health and Wellness your role would be to support the learning and development needs of staff across the organisation in this specialist area.

Required Compliance Documents:

  • Current drivers’ license
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Certificate

Candidate Notice: Ruah works with vulnerable clients in a range of health/hospital, public access, and client home locations. As a result, employees are required to have certain immunisations, including for COVID-19 even in the absence of public health orders. The is important for both client and staff health and safety controls. An applicant and/or new employee will be required to provide evidence of their immunisation status in accordance with Ruah’s Immunisation Procedure – a copy of which can be provided upon request.
