We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Behaviour Support team in a permanent role based in Western Sydney.
About the Role
The Team Leader will play a fundamental part in providing best practice advice to practitioners, providers, participants, families, and carers. This role will work closely with Core and Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioners and the company Participants.
Reporting to the Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, as an Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will:
- Provide supervision and support to Core and Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioners.
- Provide Person Centred Behaviour Support to a complex caseload.
- Deliver Person Centred Behaviour support training as required.
- Network and build relationships with the local community as appropriate.
- Work within a capacity building model with various other consumers, and stakeholders.
- Be involved in project work as identified.
- Complete and comply with KPIs, billing, reporting and record keeping requirements associated with clients accessing behaviour support services under the NDIS.
- Uphold and adhere to values and principles essential for Behaviour Support Practitioners as defined in the PBS Framework.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Recognised by the NDIS Commission as an Advanced or Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- Tertiary qualifications in psychology, Social Work, or Counselling with active professional membership with the associated governing association.
- Minimum seven years’ experience working with a diverse range of people with a disability including those with complex needs.
- Minimum five years’ experience working in a role that included behaviour support responsibilities.
- Minimum five years’ experience mentoring staff to implement Behaviour Support Plans.
- Experience working with Participants, staff and families utilising a Positive Behaviour Support approach within the NDIS space.
- Experience working within a Person Centred approach.
- Experience in the disability and/or community sector.
- A passion for a capacity building approach and Participant’s rights.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload in an efficient and effective manner.
- Confidence in using new technologies.
- Current driver’s license, own car, and willingness to travel.
