What you’ll be doing
The Domestic Family Violence and Sexual Assault Service (DFVSAS) is responsible for delivering sexual assault and domestic violence services across ISLHD, leadership and capacity building within these portfolios and within ISLHD Violence Abuse and Neglect (VAN) service system.
Working collaboratively with the DFV&SAS Clinical Leadership team and with guidance from DFV&SAS Manager, the Team Leader Shoalhaven is responsible for the management, supervision and professional development of DFV&SAS Counsellors across the Shoalhaven.
This DFV&SAS leadership role oversees the provision of timely, effective and high quality counselling and support services to:
- people who have experienced sexual abuse (ie. children, young people, their non-offending family members and adults);
- adults affected by domestic and family violence (DFV); and,
- children under 10 years of age (and their families), presenting with problematic and/or harmful sexualised behaviours.
Being a woman is a genuine requirement for this position under Section 31.2H of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
