Team Leader: Families, Young People and Communities Blue Sky Community Services

JOB DESCRIPTION

Blue Sky Community Services are seeking to employ a professional and values-aligned person to join our supportive and friendly team and to assist us in delivering efficient, effective and high quality services and in leading and supporting the Families, Young People and Communities team on the Mid North Coast of NSW, based in Coffs Harbour. A part-time position is available based at our Groundworks Youth and Family Hub (35 hours per week).

About the Role

The Team Leader position will be responsible for supporting the Families, Young People and Communities team, to build a positive and safe culture, and to deliver quality services. The team works with young people, families, parents and carers to assist people to identify and reach their goals and aspirations, to build positive and safe relationships, to learn life and family problem-solving skills, to participate in the community, to access housing and financial supports and to plan for a better future. The team also delivers sector-strengthening activities to assist community services to deliver best practice supports to their clients and participants.  The team also focuses on community strengthening initiatives across the Mid North Coast, for the benefit of children, young people and families.

The Team Leader will play a key role in leading the delivery of services including:

  • Targeted Earlier Intervention in Schools Program
  • Local Drug Action Team
  • Groundworks Youth and Family Hub
  • Momentum Youth Housing Service
  • Rent Choice Youth program
  • All One Under the Sun program
  • Targeted Earlier Intervention Sector Support and Development Program
  • Financial Wellbeing Service.
