Team Leader | Family Counselling Cornerstone Medical Recruitment

JOB DESCRIPTION

On behalf of our client which is a well established not for profit organisation in the Northern Territory we are seeking an experienced Team Leader for Counselling services to provide a high level of service delivery is provided to the community counselling program which includes Family counselling, EAP and school based counselling services. This position has a particular focus on applying professional knowledge, whilst leading and mentoring the program staff.
  
The Team leader will be based in DARWIN and will ensure staff provide responsive and high quality counselling and social care programs to individuals, couples, families, children, groups, schools, and agencies across the Northern Territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Lead Practitioner is responsible for implementation, leadership, integration, clinical guidance, and support of staff to provide consistent Counselling services across programs.
  • Building capacity to grow the service, through change management, planning for staff training and upskilling clinical capacity across the organisation.
  • Oversee the Counselling program which provides social services and programs to individuals, couples, families, children, groups, schools, and agencies across the Northern Territory.
  • Lead the Counselling team which offers Individual and school-based counselling, and group work activities

About You

  • Qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling required
  • Previous experience in Community or mental health service required
  • A thorough understanding of complex family presentations
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness in practice, particularly with Indigenous people
  • Experience maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Remuneration Package
A Salary package of SCHADS Level 7.1 of $104,875 + 11% Super + Salary Sacrifice P.A + Relocation Assistance + Initial Accommodation.
