Team Leader – Family Mental Health Support Service IMPACT Community Services

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role leads the Family Mental Health Support Service team in providing early intervention to assist vulnerable families with children, and young families who are at risk of or affected by, mental illness.

Due to expansion in this program, we are recruiting for a permanent full-time, Team Leader.

As a Team Leader, you will:

  • Provide direction, guidance, coaching and training to the team, and assist in dealing with escalated issues
  • Compile relevant, internal and external, reporting
  • Supervise, mentor and assist the team to develop and follow processes to ensure the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Coordinate and lead program meetings, along with Performance Development Review with staff
  • Maintain accurate, up to date data entry records
  • Coordinate resources for the team
  • Promote IMPACT’s service and community and public awareness of mental health issues

  • Ability to:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders both internally and externally
    • Think and act calmly and deal sensitively with distress and unpredictable behaviour
  • Relevant life experience and/or understanding of the issues facing people with a mental health concerns
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Sound knowledge of support services in the local community and ability to engage in community networking opportunities
  • A Certificate IV in Community Services or similar vocational qualification is desirable
