About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate Team Leader, to join our Family Relationship Centre based in Mildura, VIC.

In this role, you will provide clinical and operational leadership, ensuring quality and outcomes-focused Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) services within our broader Family Relationship Services team. Working collaboratively with other team leaders, you will offer integrated support to adults and children impacted by family separation.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direction, support, and clinical supervision to a team of practitioners
  • Conducting one-to-one supervision, peer group supervision, case consultation
  • Engaging in complex case discussions with the team and assessing clients’ needs in complex situations.
  • Managing waitlists and case allocations for the teams, ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Monitoring and reviewing active caseloads, including case allocations and closures
  • Actively participating in the performance management process for all team members, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Representing the agency in relevant public and professional forums and network meetings, contributing to the agency’s reputation and collaborative efforts.

About You

To qualify, you must have a broad understanding of relevant legislative requirements related to family law, child support, child protection, and family violence gained from experience, and be a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) with the Attorney General’s Department.

As our ideal candidate, you will have senior experience in counselling or family dispute resolution and hold a tertiary qualification relevant to community welfare practice such as Social Work, Psychology, or Social Science.

A current driver’s licence is essential due to frequent travel, and a willingness to be accommodated overnight when required.
