About the role
As the Team Leader you will provide clinical supervision, leadership, human resources, and day to day operational management across the service. You will also monitor clinical aspects of the service including the engagement, screening, assessing and coordination of care for young people.
Your will lead, develop, and oversee implementation and evaluate delivery of services to young people (12-25 years) and their families/carers including:
- Early detection and intervention of mental health problems and substance use disorders
- Community awareness programs
- Education and training activities; and
- Programs for social recovery and economic participation.
The base salary ranges between $96,962 – $101,250 per annum depending on your skills, knowledge, and experience + 10.5% super + salary packaging benefits.
About you
You are an engaging individual with a real passion to make a difference in your local community and have the ability to connect with a wide range of people. You can work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
You will also demonstrate the following:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and hold or be eligible for membership of AHPRA or the appropriate professional body.
- Demonstrated leaderships skills to provide clinical and operational leadership and management (including development) of a multi-disciplinary team (including human and financial resource matters).
- Substantial experience and proven expertise in the application of evidence based clinical practice within the mental health field (including young people experiencing early and/or first episode psychosis).
- Experience and demonstrated skill in the coordination of individualised psychosocial interventions to meet the needs of young people with psychosis based on a case formulation approach.
- Flexibility in coping with organisational change and demonstrated capacity to be innovative in clinical approaches with young people.
- Highly developed and demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with young people, their families and/or significant others.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act including proposed reforms and the Children, Youth and Families Act and any other relevant legislation
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the Gold Coast Youth/Health sector
