The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Team Leader (Mental Health – Adolescent Day Program) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide efficient and responsive Mental Health care utilising advanced level of knowledge and skills
- Gain an understanding and commit to Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC) principles when collaborating with young people and families of all ages, at all levels of care and in all health settings
- Integrate the principles of contemporary human, material and financial resource management into service delivery
- Coordinate, formulate and direct policies relating to the provision of mental health care or disciplinary-specific specialty services
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work
- AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist only)
- Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
- Driver Licence
- Working with Children Check – Social Worker only
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against – Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $140 767 – $146 883 per annum
About Us
The Adolescent Day Program is part of the state-wide Child and Youth Mental Health Service continuum of care providing specialist multidisciplinary assessment and integrated treatment for adolescents with severe, persistent mental illnesses which results in severe psychosocial impairment. The Adolescent Day Program operates on the premise that young people can and do recover from mental illness. This service is based in Robina.
