About your opportunity
Team Leader / Fixed Term Temporary full-time / ASAP up to 30/06/2024.
Lead and manage the operational and clinical services delivery of the Mental Health Service Group Social Emotional Mental Wellbeing Team (SEMWT) within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service providing in-reach services to the Townsville Aboriginal and Islander Health Service (TAIHS).
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Proven ability to provide a high level of operational management, clinical leadership and coordination within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven ability to integrate the strategic direction and for quality improvement into the clinical service, establishing a quality framework.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to develop procedures and guidelines.
- Proven ability to use information and reporting systems appropriate to the position.
- Proven ability to demonstrate ongoing professional development of self and others.
- Demonstrated high level of culturally appropriate skills, knowledge and ability to when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Generous remuneration package value up to $13,428 p.m. comprising:
- Salary range of $5188.10 to $5413.50 p.f. (HP5)
- Annual Leave with leave loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements
- Proof of qualification (Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- Possession of relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in Alcohol and Drug would be highly regarded for a position at this level, as would experience in delivery of psychological interventions or programs.
- Experience of delivering MH programmes in the Primary Care or NGO sector would be an advantage
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Probation period may apply.
