Young Minds Health and Development Network requires Allied Health Clinicians for our Telehealth Services.
The role offers you supported entry into private practice and telehealth services, allowing you to learn the ropes, We have an excellent telehealth platform in COVIU. We are a team of individuals who are all banding together to make a difference. The role is ideal for provisional psychologists, psychologists wanting to get back into the workforce, those experienced psychologists who would like a change from their current private practice position, and work from home. It is ideal for Padiatric OTs, and Speech Lanaguage Pathologists, and Mental Health Social Workers who want the flexibility to work from home.
We currently have an opportunity for you to come on-board as a Contractor on an hourly rate. It can be for a full-time or part-time contract. Contractor Remuneration will be discussed at the interview. Employed positions can be discussed at interview.
Young Minds is a business sponsor organisation so psychologists overseas who wish to migrate to Australia are welcome to apply under the temporary shortage criteria. A permanent full-time employed position will apply to overseas psychologists.
Queensland based psychologists will also have the opportunity to visit Western Queensland locations to consult with referred clients, with accommodation, travel, food etc fully paid for. This component is not mandatory for this advertised position, but exciting if clinicians like to have that variety.
There is also opportunity for clinicians to mix face to face consults and telehealth.
Young Minds is a busy Psychology and Allied Health Practice that has been operating for over 14 years. We have four Clinic locations at Stafford, The Gap, North Lakes and Redcliffe, as well as our online services. We have a very good track record and are highly regarded with GPs and Specialists and other service providers.
There are currently over 35 psychologists (including Clinical, Educational & Developmental, Generalists, and Counselling), 2 speech pathologists, 3 occupational therapists and a Social Worker working in the Practice across four locations. We have a high case load of children and adolescents, but also many Adults. Referrals come mainly from GPs, Paediatricians and NDIS, and through our website.

- COVIU as our online therapy platform, with an Enterprise Agreement to allow for extra features.
- The clinicians are supported by a caring and friendly team of Customer Relations Officers and our Practice Manager
Clinician Support
- Access to a range of professional consultation with our Clinical Lead team. They are all very experienced and include a psychologist, OT and Social Worker offering a wealth of knowledge and different perspectives
- Access to regular group supervision with our Principal Clinician
- Endorsement supervision provided for Psychologists.
- We run really fun and valuable Team Building Days twice a year so that the whole organisation can connect and enjoy some down time together
- We run internal Professional Development days twice a year
- We value all clinicians and encourage everyone to provide feedback so that we are continuing to evolve and grow as an organisation. We offer quarterly check-ins so we can touch base and identify early areas of need and improvement.
- We offer lots of flexibility and the ability customise your diary according to your personal needs. We have a keen focus on supporting clinicians to manage their diaries so as to allow for good self-care and burn-out prevention.
Key Responsibilities for successful applicant:
- The main key responsibility is to provide evidence-based intervention and diagnostic assessment services for adults, children and adolescents across a range of presenting difficulties. Psychologists may specialize in one particular age group is desired.
- Psychologists who like to provide psychoeducational assessment services for children and adolescents, separately or as well as therapy, are highly regarded. A range of Assessments can be administered through COVIU online,
- Young Minds is willing to assist in the development of your niche area with advertising and promotion if requested.
Essential skills, qualifications and experience:
- The ability to be registered with AHPRA, and the ability to gain full-registration.( Overseas entry – within a time period)
- Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance
- Ability to gain a Provider Number with Medicare (Overseas entry – within a time period.
- Police check.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- High ability to build rapport with a client and have excellent skills in working relationships.
