The role
You will report to Senior Manager Gippsland and your responsibilities will include providing intensive, early intervention support for young people at risk of disengaging from education. As part of the Gippsland Primary Health Network Mental Health Supports for Bushfire Affected Australians program, you will deliver holistic, high quality and culturally sensitive therapeutic case management. You will work closely with other relevant organisations to deliver community outreach and services promotion. Your role will also assist with the coordination of education programs to young people to help them re-engage into education. You will work flexibly, delivering services in individual and group settings at both on-site and off-site locations, including schools.
This role is located in Bairnsdale, with outreach to Lakes Entrance and is a casual position. Our standard business hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Whilst this is casual, you can anticipate that you may be rostered to work approximately one to three days per week.
About you
- Degree in social work, counselling, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in working with young people from a child-centred and strength-based perspective in a setting relevant to the role.
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload to meet timeframes and job-related expectations.
- Good all-round computer skills and literacy, having used the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word etc.

The hourly rate for this position is between $60.44 to $64.79 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading.
